Buying a Site?
Crawler Revenue Diligence coming soon
AI crawlers already pull real traffic from most content sites. Whether that traffic is being monetized, or just given away for free, is a signal worth knowing before you buy one -- and it's not something standard due diligence checks today. This page describes what's planned; nothing here is live or purchasable yet.
Two depths, one tool
Screening depth needs no cooperation from the seller. It checks a domain from the outside: how permissive its robots.txt is to major AI crawlers, whether it's already enrolled in RSL, TollBit, or Cloudflare Pay Per Crawl, and content signals that tend to correlate with crawler appeal. It returns an estimated verdict, not a guaranteed number, and is meant to run across a whole marketplace category at once -- an early triage pass before you commit real time to any one listing.
Verified depth is for one specific site you're already in active diligence on, once you have real server logs from the seller. It verifies which hits are genuine AI crawlers rather than spoofed user-agent strings, classifies traffic by crawler and likely use, and estimates potential toll revenue under current rate norms. This reuses the same crawler-verification logic already running in production on TariffMonkee's own crawler-toll experiment, not an unproven new capability.
Screening works with zero cooperation from anyone involved. Verified depth needs logs you already have -- TariffMonkee isn't a party to your purchase and can't obtain seller logs on your behalf, only read them once you have them.
Not live yet
This endpoint hasn't shipped. When it does, it will follow the same model as everything else on TariffMonkee: a flat, published price per call, paid in USDC over x402, no account required. Get in touch if you want to know when it's live.
